What is it like growing up as an LGBTQ individual these days? Is there really as much equality for the LGBTQ population as the media portrays? Get answers to questions like these by booking a ZAP! Panel for your class, organization, or floor meeting!

A ZAP! is an educational panel discussion that centers around individuals representing a range of sexual and gender identities and expressions - including those who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, gender-queer, and as straight allies. Students are encouraged to ask panel members questions about their lived experiences as LGBTQ individuals, or discussions can be centered around a certain class topic.

The goal of a ZAP! panel is to educate and show the diversity of experiences of LGBT and allied individuals. Putting names, faces, and stories to the labels used in everyday life adds a layer of human understanding and leads to increased tolerance, acceptance, and respect for the IC campus community and beyond . To book your ZAP! Panel, contact: Adam Zimmer at azimmer4@ithaca.edu
