Calling all Ithaca families! First Book-Ithaca College is hosting their first official event: a Storybook Party. Come join us this Sunday, March 24th from 2-4 pm at the Tompkins County Public Library for activities, reading, refreshments, and a costume contest. Dress like your favorite storybook character and join in the fun of reading with IC First Book. Admission is free, but donations are appreciated.

IC First Book is the Ithaca College chapter of a national organization called First Book, a non-profit that has donated over 100 million books to children in need in communities across the country. By providing children from low-income families with books they can take home and keep, First Book targets the only variable that correlates significantly with reading scores—the number of books in the home. This Storybook Party is one way IC First Book is fundraising to provide the children of Ithaca with brand new books. Come support us and enjoy a Sunday afternoon at your local library.
