Jennifer Tennant's article, "Isolating the Effect of Major Depression on Obesity: Role of Selection Bias" with Dhaval Dave and Gregory Colman, has received the "Excellence in Mental Health Policy and Economics Award" for 2011-2012.

The Journal of Mental Health Policy and Economics gives out two awards, the Adam Smith Award and the Excellence Award.  The Adam Smith Award is given to the best paper published in the journal in two years; the Excellence Award is given to the two exceptional/top papers (after the Adam Smith award) published in the journal in two years.

Together these three papers are the best three papers published in all issues of the journal between 2011-2012.  The papers are chosen by the editoral board and voted upon by them.

The award will be given out at the biennial conference at the end of March in Venice, Italy.
