Documentary on the ritual process of Imbalu (circumcision). Wednesday April 3rd 3:00-5:00pm Friends 209.

Crafting the Bamasaba (Dominic Dipio, Uganda, 2009; 61 min.) The films presents the ritual process of Imbalu (circumcision) beyond the physical cut. This is the most important identity ritual among the Bagisu. In the context of changing times and challenges how is Imbalu positioned in the community? These are some of the themes addressed.
