ENVS faculty member Chris Sinton is a co-principal investigator on a two-year project titled Engaging Students in Grand Challenges in an Interdisciplinary Water Sustainability Course. The Interdisciplinary Teaching of Geoscience for a Sustainable Future (InTeGrate) program made the award.

Chris will work with colleagues Nicole Davi (Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory), Terri Plake (Northwest Indian College), and Robert Turner (UW Bothell) to develop curricular materials that excite students about learning geoscience by placing it in the context of one of society's most important issues, water sustainability. InTeGrate is funded by a five-year STEP Center grant from the National Science Foundation.
