LeeAnn Hill, Christina Kranz and Curt McConnell accompanied geology professor Chris Sinton to New Hampshire, where they presented posters at the Geological Society of America’s 2013 Northeast Chapter Meeting in Bretton Woods.

LeeAnn Hill’s poster, Evaluating Potential Heavy Metal Contamination from Ithaca Gun Company in the Fall Creek Delta (Ithaca, NY) describes research she completed over the summer months of 2012 as a Ford Fund-supported science student researcher. Christina Kranz created a poster describing research she conducted in IC’s Natural Lands: An Initial Study of Soil Organic Carbon and Post-Agriculture Forest Succession Age on the Ithaca College Natural Lands. Curt McConnell’s Mineralogy and Age of a Newly Mapped Galapagos Seamount is the result of work Curt did as a summer 2012 NSF-funded research assistant at Ithaca College in 2012.

Anyone interested in viewing the posters, can see them in the 2nd floor west corridor of the Center for Natural Sciences.
