Webinar on connecting diversity, sustainability and community engagement on Friday, April 19 at 1pmContributed by Marian Brown on 04/11/13 On Friday, April 19th, from 1-2pm, the Sustainability at Ithaca program will host a webinar titled "How Do We Connect Diversity, Sustainability, and Community Engagement on Campuses?" This webinar will be shown in the Ithaca Falls Room in the Campus Center. Please feel free to drop in and listen in. This free Idea Exchange webinar to see how the Community Environmental Scholars Program (CESP) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison's Nelson Institute approaches this question. View a short documentary about the program and have an opportunity to engage in a conversation with CESP students, faculty, and administrators. The Community Environmental Scholars Program was highlighted in the American Association of Colleges and Universities' fall 2012 issue of Diversity and Democracy. With support from the National Science Foundation and other organizations, the program integrates community-based work into the curriculum, and helps students understand diverse perspectives and learn to work with a diversity of individuals, groups, and organizations. This webinar event is eligible for Student Leadership Institute (SLI) credit.
