Ithaca College softball head coach Deb Pallozzi won her 700th career game as coach of the Bombers during Wednesday’s doubleheader sweep of King’s College. Pallozzi is the 10th coach overall in NCAA Division III softball history to reach 700 career wins, and only six coaches all-time have achieved 700 wins at one school.

Pallozzi is in her 25th season at Ithaca, and her 27th season overall as a Division III head coach. She is a member of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Hall of Fame, the Ithaca College Athletics Hall of Fame and the Cortland C-Club Hall of Fame. She led the Bombers to a national championship in 2002, has been Empire 8 Coach of the Year five times and her staff has been NFCA Northeast Region Coaching Staff of the Year four times.

She has coached some of the program's most successful players, including 14 NFCA all-Americans and the school leaders in career average, season and career RBIs, season and career hits, season and career runs, season and career innings pitched, season and career wins and season and career strikeouts.

Pallozzi served as the Ithaca College athletics department’s senior woman administrator from 2005-11, and has been on numerous NCAA selection committees and NFCA all-America committees. She is a 1979 graduate of SUNY Cortland and earned a master’s degree in physical education at Ithaca College in 1993.
