Both shows are free and open to the public. In her essay "The Show Does Go On" (Breaking the Boundaries), Dolores Prida describes Beautiful Señoritas as "a modest one-act musical play that poke[s] fun at longstanding Latin women stereotypes—from Carmen Miranda to Cuchi Cuchi Charo to suffering black-shrouded women crying and praying over their tortillas to modern-day young Latinas trying to re-define their images." The play, which is performed in English, is both deeply moving and deeply humorous. The performance, directed by Courtney Beaudry, features four female lead actors, Gipsy Fernández, Yuberky Reyes, Eva María Toure, and Reisy Veloz, who have been a consistent presence within IC Teatro. IC Teatro’s production is sponsored by the Department of Modern Language and Literatures and the Latin American Studies Department.
