In addition to the landmark cases brought before the U.S. Supreme Court regarding gay marriage, the court is simultaneously deciding another case that could reverse gains in affirmative action policies or gut them altogether. Dr. Sean Eversley Bradwell, an assistant professor in the Center for the Study of Culture, Race, and Ethnicity, will discuss the Fisher v. University of Texas affirmative action case and the possible effects of any outcome. There is sure to be an engrossing dialogue about race, education, and the Supreme Court. There will also be FREE FOOD.
