Please join Ben Shipley '13, dramaturg, after the Saturday, April 27th, 2pm showing of "An Enemy of the People" for a talkback:

“You’ll forgive me for talking about facts in a newspaper office."

The discussion will take place in the Hoerner Theatre and is free and open to the public.

Ben will lead a discussion about the power of the media in sensitive social/environmental situations and ethics (or lack thereof). This theme flows though Henrik Ibsen’s "An Enemy of the People" as well as through issues we face as a community today.

This talkback event will feature conversation with Maura Stephens, Associate Director of the Park Center for Independent Media, followed by an open Q&A session.

In April 2010 Maura Stephens was named associate director of the Park Center for Independent Media. In a career now in its fourth decade, Maura has worked in both mainstream and independent media as well as in other fields. She believes strongly that journalism is a critically important component of any democratic society and that it can and should be a noble profession -- right up there with nursing, teaching, firefighting, and organic farming.

Tickets to all performances of "An Enemy of the People" are still available. Performances will take place in the Hoerner Theatre in Dillingham Center on April 23, 25, 26, and 27 at 8 p.m., and April 27 and 28 at 2 p.m.
