Tonight: School of Music's Nathan Hess to perform Poulenc and MozartContributed by Jenny Stockdale on 04/23/13 On Wednesday, April 24, Nathan Hess, assistant professor of performance studies at the School of Music, will perform his faculty piano recital. Beginning at 7 p.m. in Hockett Family Recital Hall, his program will include the works of Mozart and Poulenc. Hess has appeared in concert to critical acclaim throughout the United States and Europe in solo, chamber, and concerto settings. He has soloed with the Erie Philharmonic, Erie Chamber Orchestra, Manassas Symphony Orchestra, Orchard Park Symphony, Western New York Chamber Orchestra, New River Valley Symphony, and York Symphony Orchestra, among others. Recent guest recital appearances and masterclasses have included Penn State University, Mansfield University, SUNY Fredonia, and Buffalo State College.
