On April 29, Prof. Cynthia Henderson, Theatre Arts, gave a lecture titled, Transformative Theatre:  Using Theatre as an Agent for Social Change, at Cornell University’s Center for International Studies as part of the Spring 2013 Seminar Series. 

Prof. Henderson shared the history of Performing Arts for Social Change (PASC) and how it was influenced by Theatre of the Oppressed.  She spoke about the mission of PASC and how it informs the process of building trust, gathering stories, and creating the theatre piece, as well as its potential to change the public discourse.
