Dr. Donathan Brown, Assistant Professor of Communication Studies in the School of Humanities and Sciences, has been invited to speak at the Centre for the International Study of Literatures in English (CISLE) at the University of Innsbruck in Austria.  The July talk will center on American political responses to immigration reform.

Extending work published by the Harvard Journal of Hispanic Policy, Dr. Brown will focus on the official language debate and related court cases.  The foundation for Dr. Brown's scholarly thinking on this subject was established in his doctoral dissertation, which he completed as a predoctoral diversity fellow in H&S.
