Games for Interactive Learning: Using Clickers for InteractionContributed by Wade Pickren on 05/01/13 Tuesday, May 7, 2013 Join us for a faculty show and share presented by Susan Nixson, who teaches The Environmental Crisis. She will discuss the use of clickers to engage students and she'll demonstrate the use of clickers to play Jeopardy in an effort to help students review for their final exam. Topics to be covered include what questions to ask and how to use the data you collect to guide students in studying. Clickers are a great way to deliver formative assessments and gauge student comprehension of materials. Faculty, Students, and Staff are invited to join us for this demonstration and the conversation to follow! Faculty Show and Share is a series put on by the Center for Educational Technology in collaboration with the Center for Faculty Excellence. Each session features a guest faculty member who shows how they use a technology to address a teaching goal. Come hear what worked - or didn't work in a format that is informal, experimental, and fun. Discussion is encouraged and anyone is welcome regardless of their experience with technology.
