Hello!  Orientation is seeking for volunteers from the Ithaca College community to attend “Ithaca Dining Experience" programs for family members and guests attending orientation this summer.

The Ithaca Dining Experience is an opportunity for family members and guests to sign up for a reservation we have made at local restaurants in town.  This program is aimed at creating an opportunity for our guests to socialize with each other over a dinner hosted by an IC faculty/staff member.  We are looking for “hosts” to attend dinners during our summer orientation sessions at approximately 6:45pm.  As a reminder, the Summer Orientation Program will pay for your dinner if you agree to host!  

The following restaurants are a sampling of local businesses asked to participate in this year's Ithaca Dining Experience:

Simeon's

Mia's

Taste of Thai Express

Boatyard Grill

Kilpatrick's 

After most responses are received and restaurants communicate their willingness to participate, volunteers will be sent a schedule of prospective assignments.  This email will include directions, guidelines, and a timeline.   If possible, please complete this survey by June 18, 2013.  I will confirm hosts for the first new student orientation session as I receive them.

During Day Two of orientation, volunteers will receive an email from the Office of First-Year Experience indicating if any guests signed up for their restaurant. Hosts will need to be at the restaurant at 6:45 pm.  Your “host” meal will be paid for by First-Year Experience.

Only Ithaca College Faculty and Staff may volunteer as hosts.
