Information Technology Services is currently planning for software and AV control upgrades in ITS-managed eClassrooms and meeting rooms for the 2013-14 academic year. By semester start-up the following changes will be made on eClassrooom and meeting room computers:

• Windows 7 64-bit Operating System (Windows)
• SPSS 21 (Windows)
• SPSS 21 will not be installed on Macs unless a specific need is identified
• eClassrooms scheduled to have their Apple iMac computer replaced through the Technology Renewal Program will receive a Mac mini with OS 10.8 Mountain Lion.
• New Crestron digital touchscreen AV controllers will be installed in the following locations:

  • Dillingham Dance Studio 1
  • Dillingham Dance Studio 3
  • Dillingham Dance Studio 4
  • Campus Center Clark Lounge
  • Campus Center Klingenstein Lounge
  • Campus Center Buttermilk Falls
  • Campus Center Cayuga Lake
  • Campus Center DeMotte
  • Campus Center Ithaca Falls
  • Campus Center Six Mile Creek
  • Campus Center Taughannock Falls
  • Hill Center 104
  • Hill Center 107
  • Hill Center G64
  • Hill Center G75
  • Hill Center G75B

As a reminder, VHS equipment is only available in limited eClassrooms and meeting rooms as of the Fall 2013. If you have any questions about VHS usage or support, please visit our website at www.ithaca.edu/its/services/dms/vhs/ or contact Digital Media Services at 607-274-5700 or dms@ithaca.edu.

If you need a VHS player for your class, please contact the ITS Helpdesk by August 1, 2013 and let us know the location(s) this is needed. We have a few loaner VHS players that can be installed in specific eClassrooms on an as needed basis.
