IC's Toastmasters Club Earns Select Distinguished Recognition for 2nd Year in a RowContributed by Shelli Mekos on 06/17/13 Members of the IC's Toastmasters Club had much to celebrate this past 2012-13 program year. Not only did the members celebrate the club's 10th anniversary on campus but also earned the Select Distinguished status for a 2nd year in a row by Toastmasters International. In order for clubs to qualify for the award, members of the club must achieve at least seven of the ten goals set out by the organization as well as maintain membership count and/or growth. Congratulations to the following IC members that have recently achieved educational distinctions: Govind Archarya – Competent Communicator and Competent Leadership Pam Ameigh - Competent Leadership Shelli Mekos – Competent Communicator The IC Toastmasters Club offers a friendly, constructive environment for speakers of all experience and ability level to practice speaking and evaluation exercises. The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, June 19 from to 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM and will be located in the Cayuga Lake Room at the Campus Center. The club is open to any member of the Ithaca College Community or Longview and is supported by the Ithaca College Office of Human Resources and the Office of Career Services.
