Parents of Teens! Anouncing Civic Ensemble's Summer Youth Theatre for ages 13 and up, August 5-15 at GIAC. It's FREE!

Ithaca-Area Teens:

Do you have something to say about your life here in Ithaca and this country? Looking for something to do this summer? Have you ever wanted to try theatre but were too nervous? Civic Ensemble and GIAC have teamed up to create the Civic Summer Youth Theatre, a FREE two week theatre experience for Ithaca teenagers aged 13- 21, from Aug. 5 – Aug. 15 at GIAC. Led by Sarah K. Chalmers, Civic Ensemble Artists will guide teens in the creation of an original piece of theatre to be performed for the community. NO experience necessary! We’ll play theatre games that bring up topics and stories that are important to you. From those topics, we’ll create scenes and songs, and maybe even dances, and present them for family and friends.

Creative artists are leaders in their communities. Be a leader, and gain valuable experience in collaboration. Come be a part of it!
