I am very pleased to announce that Danette Johnson, Director of the Core Curriculum and Professor in Communication Studies is assuming new responsibilities in the Office of Academic Affairs. 

Danette will move to a full-time administrative position in her capacity as Assistant Provost and Director of the Core Curriculum, and in that capacity will oversee the faculty hiring process on behalf of Academic Affairs in addition to her continuing duties related to the ICC. Danette’s leadership of the Integrative Core Curriculum will be an asset when meeting with prospective faculty members. More broadly, her experience as both a faculty member and administrator, her commitment to both the liberal arts and professional education, and her understanding of Ithaca College policies and processes will be significant assets in this expanded position.  This appointment is effective immediately.
