Ithaca College

Auditions for all four instrumental jazz ensembles will be held on Monday, August 26th. 

The four jazz groups holding auditions simultaneously are:

• Jazz Ensemble, directed by Mike Titlebaum
• Jazz Repertory Ensemble, directed by Greg Evans
• Jazz Lab Band, directed by Bill Tiberio
• Campus Jazz Band, directed by Bill Tiberio.

Each group performs at least one concert per semester as well as elsewhere on campus and in the community.  All Ithaca College students regardless of major are permitted to audition for the jazz ensembles.

We have some exciting things happening this year:  The Ithaca College Jazz Ensemble will travel to Dallas to perform at the Jazz Educators Network conference in early January.  Also, the guest artist for the October jazz composition contest concert is legendary jazz trombonist Jack Gale.

Auditions will be anonymous, blind, behind a screen.  Once you've signed up online, you'll receive more information about time and place.  All auditions will be held on Monday, August 26th.
