MUNM 25400, Exploring Cultural NY still has a few openings. The course is intended to give the curious student an understanding of the classical arts and culminates in a Fall Break trip to New York where, this year, we will see Phantom of the Opera, the Metropolitan Opera's Norma, the New York Philharmonic performing Shostakovich's Symphony No. 11, the San Francisco Ballet and attend a jazz club.  Before we go, we will study the unique qualities of each of the genres and the specific works so that they are more familiar and accessible. Transportation to and from New York, housing and tickets are included in the lab fee. See the course catalog for more information.
