This highly interactive workshop for will introduce participants to key concepts and principles of service-learning course design. Participants will learn how to construct learning outcomes and design instructional strategies based a unique integrative course design framework. Participants will discuss how to foster and evaluate students’ critical reflection before, during and after participation in service-learning. The session will share example service-learning syllabi, learning outcome and course design templates and additional service-learning resources.

A certificate of completion will be offered to those who attend  two of the three scheduled sessions.  The series is intended to prepare IC  faculty for the May 2014 CFE Excellence Institute on  Service-Learning.
