Students interested in leading an OSEMA Alternative Spring Break trip are encouraged to contact Assistant Director of Community Service, Don Austin, to learn more about making a difference as a leader during spring break!

OSEMA will be sponsor five trips in 2014, with the destinations being Tennessee, Virginia, Washington DC and two in upstate New York. This opportunity is available to students of sophomore standing and above.

Participant-Leaders will be selected to help prepare and lead each of the five ASB trips in 2014! Participant-Leaders will be responsible for the following:

  • Help recruit participants into the program
  • Lead an orientation session prior to departure
  • Prepare one educational excursion aside from the volunteer activities for the trip
  • Provide leadership and direction during the trip
  • Assist with driving (only if 21 years of age eligible to drive IC vehicles, not mandatory)

Students selected to serve as participant-leaders will not be required to pay a fee for participation.
