Park Association for Journalists of Color: e-board members (deadline extended!)Contributed by Noreyana Fernando on 09/27/13 The Park Association for Journalists of Color is looking for members to fill the following executive board positions for 2013-14. Applications are open to all those interested! 1. Communications director 2. Treasurer 3. Secretary
What is the PAJC? Established in 2012, the PAJC works to advocate rights of minority journalists and promote awareness of related issues. In the past, the association has hosted Skype sessions with editors and reporters of the New York Times and Mother Jones, and even branched out to cover environment-related topics by hosting Sandra Steingraber, distinguished scholar-in-residence at Ithaca College.
What is your commitment? If you are selected to be on the e-board, you will be required to attend our 45-minute bi-weekly meeting. Time, date and place TBA and will be based on e-board member availability. You will also participate in the marketing and organization of all PAJC events. There will be 2-3 events each semester.
How do I get onboard? Email in the following details to parkjournalists@gmail.com by Monday, October 7th at 11.59 p.m. Be sure to use your ithaca.edu email. Applications are open to all those interested! (Note: if you miss the deadline, you can still send in your application for consideration. However, early applications will be given preference) 1.
