As you may be starting to think about your housing for Fall 2014, the Office of Residential Life and Judicial Affairs would like to provide you information about the residency policy and the process for off-campus release.

The off-campus approval process will begin on October 28, 2013 at 12:01am.    Only students who will be juniors for the Fall 2014 (defined as a student who has lived on campus for 3 complete semesters by the end of fall 2013) will be eligible to apply. 

In order for juniors (as defined above) to be considered for off-campus status, students need to complete the off-campus application, and the off-campus module, “Putting the Pieces Together:  Being a Responsible Member of the Ithaca Community”.  The off-campus application can be found at  https://www.ithaca.edu/reslife/off_campus/.  Students should not sign any leases before they are officially approved to move off campus by the Office of Residential Life.  Please consult the Ithaca College Residency Policy at https://www.ithaca.edu/policies/vol7/volume_7-70501/. 

All applications must be submitted by 5pm on Friday, November 1, 2013 to receive full consideration.    The number of applications we expect to approve will be announced by October 29, 2013.

Seniors (students who have lived on campus for 5 or more complete semesters by the end of fall 2013) do not need to apply for off-campus approval.  Seniors can simply elect to live off-campus.

Students with less than 3 completed semesters of on-campus living as of the end of fall 2013, are not eligible to apply.  In the event we do not have enough interest from juniors, a notice will go out to rising sophomores with an opportunity to apply.
