Students: looking for an easy and fun way to get some community service in over fall break? The Office of Alumni Relations is hosting two events in New York and Boston, and you're invited to come join us and do some good for these local communities!

In New York City, we'll perform a day of service on Saturday, October 19. On that day, New York Cares will conduct the city's largest hands-on volunteer day to revitalize 90 public schools. Join other students and IC alumni, parents, and friends at P.S. 050 Clara Barton in the Bronx. We'll be working from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

On that same day, IC community members in New England will get together for an afternoon of service at the Greater Boston Food Bank, putting together food packages for individuals and families served by the food bank. The event will run from 1 to 3:30 p.m.

There's no charge for students to participate. All you need to do is RSVP to Maura Donovan, associate director of alumni relations, at mdonovan@ithaca.edu or (607) 274-1179 to let us know you're coming. Please also indicate your T-shirt size to receive a free shirt at the event.

We look forward to a great day of community service and hope you can join us!
