Everyone needs a little advice from time to time and Ithaca College students have access to 3 great resources for academic and career guidance!

IC Mentoring Network
Over 750 alumni are now available to offer advice through the new IC Mentoring Network on LinkedIn, and the number is growing. It’s a virtual community where students are posting questions and alumni are sharing information and tips about their careers and professional experiences.

You can post questions and comments on the main group, or chat specifically about career areas such as education, finance, law, marketing, PT and OT, theatre and more.  It’s easy to join. Just go to LinkedIn and type “IC Mentoring Network” group in the search field, or visit http://www.Ithaca.edu/alumni/mentor

The Academic Advising Center
Wondering if you’re on the right academic path?  Thinking about adding and/or changing a major or minor? Confused about how your existing credits would fulfill requirements if you decided to make a change? No worries!  The Academic Advising Center (AAC) has the information and tools to help you make thoughtful decisions in regards to your current and future academic goals. The AAC’s professional academic advisors partner with faculty and staff across campus to gather the critical information you need, and then work to provide it to you in one convenient location. See more at https://www.ithaca.edu/advising/.

Career Services
Career Services provides career related education, experiential learning, professional development, and post-graduate opportunities for the benefit of students and alumni.  Students work with us on a variety of things including: choosing a major; exploring career options; learning how to write a great resume and/or cover letter; identifying job or internship opportunities; finding networking contacts (and learn how to do it well); applying to graduate school; or learning how to approach interviewing.  Our services are comprehensive and we work with you wherever you are in your process.  We have drop-in hours, Monday - Thursday from 12 - 4 p.m. and Fridays from 12 - 3 p.m. for quick 15 minute appointments and full hour appointments can also be scheduled.  Visit us at https://www.ithaca.edu/careers or stop by our office in 101 Muller Center to get started.
