Julia Cozzarelli, Associate Professor of Italian, presented a paper at the conference, "Boccaccio in Washington, DC" on October 5.

Her paper was titled: "'Vostro cavallo ha troppo duro trotto' (VI.1): Horses and their Kind in the Decameron." The paper examined representations of equines, both realistic and metaphorical, as tools in the interpretation of Giovanni Boccaccio's 14th-century text, and of the historical context in which it was produced.
