The School of Business and the Center for Faculty Excellence are very pleased to co-host a reception in honor of Charles "Randy" Christian, the Executive-in-Residence for our School of Business.

Randy Christian graduated from Ithaca College in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science from the Business School. He then continued his academic career at University of Delaware, obtaining his Master’s degree. After graduation, Randy worked at the University of Delaware for seven years in the University’s Personnel & Employee Relations division. He then went on to a thirty-year career at Johnson & Johnson (J&J) where he was a member of the corporate staff and worked in both the Human Resources and Legal departments. Randy's responsibilities at J&J involved global programs (worldwide, J&J has ~ 120,000 employees in 250 companies in 60 countries). From 2007 – 2010, he was on an expatriate assignment, living in Singapore.

Randy’s responsibilities were primarily in the areas of compensation and benefits program design, human resources information systems, employment practices litigation support, and employee data analysis. At the time of his retirement, he was the Director of Employee Analytics. Currently Randy is a consultant, providing services in the areas of employment practice litigation support and employee analytics.

IC’s School of Business named Randy its Executive-in-Residence. As Executive-in-Residence, Randy interacts with students and faculty, both in and out of the classroom, regarding career and industry issues. He is also meeting with the school’s professional student organizations and confers with and provides feedback to the deans on a variety of strategic goals.
