C. P. Snow Annual Lecture: Rosemary Mosco -- Drawn to Learn: Cartoons and Other Unusual Ways to Share ScienceContributed by Craig Duncan on 11/04/13
A field naturalist by training, Rosemary Mosco is a science communicator whose work has included comics, field workshops, web sites, videos, podcasts, and games. In her own unique style, Mosco has created innovative work for a variety of prominent publications, for organizations such as the National Park Service and Mass Audubon, and for her own website http://birdandmoon.com/. Snow Lecture Series, the longest-running lecture series at the College, began in the School of Humanities and Sciences more than 40 years ago as a means of bridging the gap between the sciences and the humanities. The series was named after Sir Charles Percy Snow, a man who truly embodied the mission of the series for his work as an internationally renowned scientist, author, lecturer, and past member of the British cabinet.
