Dr. Ryan Alaniz will present "Building Community Among strangers: Challenges of Post-Disaster Resettlement in Honduras," on Tuesday November 5, 6pm in Taughgannock Falls Lounge. Over the last twenty years Ryan Alaniz has been working on various development projects in the Global South. He is currently an assistant professor in sociology at Cal Poly State University, San Luis Obispo and volunteers with numerous national and international organizations including: United Nations University-Institute for Human and Enviroment Security, Engineers Without Borders, The Futbol Project,Restorative Partners and as a Fulbright Alumni Ambassador. The talk is sponsored by Latin American Studies.
