The film Bury My Heart With Tonawanda features a story of the Seneca Nation taking in a young man with Down Syndrome when he was rejected by his own society.

Michael Bastine (Algonquin), author of Iroquois Supernatural will introduce the film at 7pm on Wed. Nov. 6th in Textor 103.

Adrian Esposito, film producer for Bury My Heart With Tonawanda: "This story is close to my heart.  I am an advocate for people with disabilities.  In producing this film, I want to make sure that people with disabilities have meaningful roles in the film.  I want to make sure that an actor with Down syndrome plays the lead role as written in the script."
