92 WICB walked away with two first place awards in the College Broadcasters, Inc. National Student Production Awards.

The radio station's coverage of last fall's Ithaca vs. Hartwick football game won first place in the Best Sports Play-By-Play category. Matt McCarthy '13, David Gofman '13 and Matt Stenberg '14 were the talent; Michael Caffrey '14 was producer.

A segment of WICB's weekly news magazine, "Ithaca Now," won first place in the Best News Reporting category. The package, written and produced by Nicole Ogrysko '13, was titled "Youth Rock the Vote: Election 2012 Recap."

The awards were presented November 2 at the National Student Electronic Media Convention in San Antonio.

The CBI Student Production Awards received 700 entries from over 100 schools.
