 Steve Volk, Oberlin College, will present "This is the Story of How We Begin to Remember: Chile, Metaphor, and Memory " on Monday, November 11, at 6pm, in Williams 225.  

 Dr. Volk was named Outstanding Baccalaureate College U.S. Professor of the Year by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education and the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching. He will present on how the United States sponsored coup in Chile has been remembered in the United States. Dr. Volk comes to Ithaca with the support of Latin American Studies, the Center for Faculty Excellence and the Department of History. Dr. Volk's talk has been included in Cornell University's Latin American Studies Program.
