November is American Diabetes Month!

We have all heard of diabetes: in today’s society, there are constantly new studies coming out that show the increase of diabetes in our country. But how can you prevent it, and how do you know if you are at high risk of developing it? There are several risk factors associated with Type II Diabetes:

  • Extra Weight
  • Inactivity
  • Advancing Age
  • Family History
  • Too much/too little sleep

If you fit into any of these categories, you may be at risk for diabetes. Be sure to get active, eat well, and check in with your doctor regularly to stay healthy!
