Project Sunshine is a national non-profit organization that works to help children facing medical challenges and their families regain a sense of normalcy during long hospital stays.

The IC chapter of Project Sunshine is a student organization on campus that focuses on “Sending Sunshine” activities.  This includes our main focus, “Project Knit,” which involves making knitted and crocheted goods to donate to children’s hospitals, as well as various other crafts and projects.

If you enjoy knitting or crocheting, or would like to learn how, join us at our weekly meetings, Wednesdays at 8pm in Friends 309. Meetings are open to anyone who would like to attend.

NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! If you would like to learn to knit or crotchet, we will definitely teach you!  All materials (needles and yarn) will be provided as well.

If you are not interested in knitting or crocheting but would still like to be a part of our organization, no worries! We also do a variety of other crafts and projects to help send sunshine to children facing medical challenges!

If you have any questions, feel free to send us an email at icprojectsunshine@gmail.com or find us on Facebook at IC Project Sunshine.

Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Caitlin Wormsley at cwormsl2@ithaca.edu.  We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
