Xanthe is uniquely qualified to teach this course, as she has an MFA in Industrial Design (product design) from the Rochester Institute of Technology with a concentration in Sustainability. She has taught design-thinking and sustainability since 2005 and has lectured on these topics around the country. Currently Xanthe is a board member of Ithaca Generator, a community workshop with desktop manufacturing capabilities, as well as the Sustainability Cognoscente Network, the organization that hosts the International Symposium on Sustainable Systems and Technology. She is also a mentor at Cornell’s eLab (Entrepreneurship Lab), where she advises students on creative processes and new product development. Come join the fun – sophomores and above are welcome; world-changers preferred! |
