Turn Off Default Event Reminders Your Outlook calendar can remind you of upcoming meetings and appointments at a set interval before the event. The default setting for new appointments and meetings is a fifteen minute reminder before the actual event time. If you would like to disable the default reminder for new events on your calendar, you can turn this function off in Outlook's calendar settings.
Note: If your default reminder is disabled you can still add a reminder to events that you create by selecting a reminder interval in the new meeting/appointment window.
Every week, ITS provides a tip or trick for using the Outlook Calendar. Training on Outlook Calendar is available in the Technology Learning Center (Friends Hall 101).
Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Tony Tabone at atabone@ithaca.edu or (607) 274-1045. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible. |
