The Mirror, a mental health-themed literary arts magazine edited and published by Ithaca College students, will be bringing members of the Greater Tompkins County community together for its first public reading of student work, to be accompanied by a silent auction of pieces by renowned area artists.
The event will take place on Sunday, December 8 from 3pm to 5pm in the Community School of Music and Arts. Refreshments will be provided. The magazine began last year as a project of Active Minds at Ithaca College, the campus chapter of a national mental health advocacy organization. Proceeds will go to the publication of the magazine's 2014 issue. The mission of The Mirror is to contribute to the changing conversation surrounding mental health through creative media. To RSVP or more information, contact Active Minds at Ithaca College at icactiveminds@gmail.com Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Jared Wolf at jwolf2@ithaca.edu. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible. |
