The 2014 Winter Welcome orientation program begins this week!Contributed by Erica Shockley on 01/12/14 New first-year students and their family members will attend their IC orientation program this week. What does this mean for you? Winter Welcome, the spring orientation program, starts on Thursday evening, January 16, and runs through Sunday afternoon, January 19. All students attending this program will be encouraged to participate in Monday’s MLK Campus Celebration Day activities and the connected Service Saturday event on Saturday, January 25. We are anticipating 44 transfer and new students accompanied by approximately 50 family members, and in addition to meeting with primary campus resources, students will register for their spring classes during this program. Please be aware that there is designated time in the schedule for students to set-up necessary meetings and take care of last minute business from 2:30-5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 17. You can find a tentative schedule and other important information about Winter Welcome on the First-Year Experience website. You can also contact us directly by phone at 274-1908 or email at fye@ithaca.edu with any immediate questions. A big THANK YOU to everyone who has worked so hard to prepare for these students arrival, and we appreciate everything you all do during orientation to welcome our new community members to Ithaca College!
