Now that the holidays are over, your wallet may be feeling a little lighter than usual. While managing your money can seem like a daunting task, it doesn’t have to be! January is a great time to make changes and create new habits, so follow these guidelines to stay smart about your finances:

  • Don’t be afraid to use some tricks to make yourself save money – do whatever works for you.
  • ALWAYS pay bills on time to keep a good credit score – and check your report for errors!
  • Don’t invest in something that sounds too good to be true with high returns and little risk.
  • Insure against major financial disasters with homeowner’s, car, and health insurance – don’t worry about smartphone, travel, or extended warranty insurance.
