The First-Year Residential Experience (FYRE) Program, in its expansion, houses approximately 1,200 first-year students in the towers and upper quad residence halls. This new component of the FYRE program connects the Integrated Core Curriculum (ICC) themes with programs offered in the residence halls.

FYRE and Residential Life are seeking Faculty/Staff Associates for the spring 2014 semester.  Faculty/Staff Associates play a crucial role in helping students explore their integrated core theme by working with Residence Directors (RDs) and Resident Assistants (RAs) to plan organized academic theme-based programs and civic engagement/community service events for students.  The specific responsibilities of the Faculty/Staff Associates include:

• Attend a planning meeting each month with RAs to plan ICC theme events.
• Plan and participate in three ICC theme-focused events throughout the semester.
• Faculty and staff members participating in the program will receive $550 stipend per semester for either professional development or payroll compensation.

Faculty/Staff Associates must be full-time salaried faculty or staff members of Ithaca College.
