Athletic Training Scholars Share Research at Annual EATA ConventionContributed by Paul Geisler on 01/29/14 Athletic Training Faculty and Students Presented Their Research at Recent EATA Clinical Symposium At the 2014 Eastern Athletic Trainers' Association Annual Convention & Clinical Symposium in Mashantucket, CT this month, Senior AT major Gary Cohen (Stuart, FL) presented his case study research entitled "Management of Chronic Ankle Instability & Multiple Ankle Dislocation in a Female Collegiate Gymnast". Clinical Associate Professor Chris Hummel, MS, ATC and Dr. Patrick McKeon were co-authors on this challenging case. Also, Assistant Professor and Clinical Education Coordinator, Dr. Patrick McKeon, PhD, ATC, CSCS presented "Immediate Effects of Sensory-Targeted Ankle Rehabilitation Strategies on Balance and Range of Motion in Those with Chronic Ankle Instability" to the members in attendance, which is part of an intensive and ongoing research project that Dr. McKeon is conducting with his colleague from UNC, Charlotte, Dr. Eric Wikstrom. |
