The Greens Theatre Project, powered by the IC Greens, is very pleased to announce that it will be holding auditions for their productions of The Laramie Project and The Laramie Project: 10 Years Later on Saturday, February 22nd, all day in Friends Hall (specific room TBA). The auditions will be held between 11am-8pm.

For anyone who don't know what The Laramie Project is, it's a play that tells a true story about a boy named Matthew Shepard who, in 1998, was mercilessly beaten, robbed, tied to a fence, and left to die because he was gay. The Greens Theatre Project wishes to put this play on to open people's eyes to the fact that hate is still very much alive, and that we need to do everything we can to erase it, in memory of Matthew and all those who, like him, have been the victims of hate.

Sign up for an audition by emailing the IC Greens at icgreens@ithaca.edu. We ask that you prepare a two minute long dramatic monologue, and be prepared to do a few cold readings at the audition.

There will be three showings of The Laramie Project in April, from April 24th-26th, and one showing of The Laramie Project: Ten Years Later on Sunday, April 27th.

Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact the IC Greens at icgreens@ithaca.edu. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
