Seniors: On-campus Interviews offered for full-time jobs with US PIRG! Announcement from Career ServicesContributed by Kristin LiBritz on 02/04/14 If you're looking for a powerful opportunity to change America for the better, consider working after graduation with U.S. PIRG (U.S. Public Interest Research Group). U.S. PIRG is a federation of state-based, nonprofit, nonpartisan organizations that work for the public interest on a range of issues. The organization focuses on finding good ideas and pushing for real change, even when a powerful interest stands in the way. When U.S. PIRG Campus Organizers fight for the public, they stand up to some of America's most powerful special interests, from Wall Street to Big Oil, from the Auto Industry to Super PACs. They work to improve the quality of health care and reduce costs so that everyone can afford the care they need. You could make sure our country is funding a 21st century transportation agenda focused on mass transit or strengthen our democracy by making sure the youth of America exercise their right to vote. To be considered for an on-campus interview when US PIRG visits campus on Feb. 27, apply to the Campus Organizer position in eRecruiting by Feb. 17. You can also meet the recruiter during the spring Job & Internship Fair on Feb. 26 (5:00-7:30pm in the Emerson Suites). If you have any questions about this recruiter visit or need to request accommodation for a disability, please contact Career Services at careers@ithaca.edu or (607) 274-3365.
