Remember to register at least 48 hours in advance in order to receive credit! Also, please be mindful of the sessions you sign up for, and only sign up for ones you can attend. We have limited space in our sessions and signing up takes away a seat from other students. Leading Others: "Everyone Has a Place" - My Experience on Tour In October of 2013, John Rawlins III of OSEMA had the opportunity to go on tour with Grammy award-winning Jazz musician Wynton Marsalis and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra. There were many great experiences to be had and lessons to be learned on the road. Come hear about this experience and John's takeaways from it! Leading in a Diverse World: LGBT Film Series: Brother Outsider – The Life of Bayard Rustin Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014, 7:00PM—9:00PM in Textor 103 The story of the organizer of the 1963 March on Washington, one of the largest nonviolent protests ever held in the United States. Rustin brought Gandhi’s protest techniques to the American civil rights movement, and helped mold Martin Luther King Jr. into an international symbol of peace and nonviolence. Leading @IC: Tips and Tricks for Awesome Bulletin Boards Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014, 12:10PM—1:00PM in Ithaca Falls Room This presentation will benefit student organization members by helping them learn about the tools they can use to market their organization and its events in creative and engaging ways, specifically through bulletin boards but also how to apply these skills to other medias when advertising for their organizations, as well as walking through the steps on how to reserve boards and what materials they have access to, which not all organizations are aware of.
