The Schumann Festival in Elmira, NY will feature performances and presentations by Ithaca College faculty and students February 13-16.

On Thursday, student Ben Pawlak (piano) and professors Ivy Walz (mezzo-soprano) and Charis Dimaras (piano) are performing works by Schumann at the Hill Top Restaurant to a sold-out crowd.  On Friday, Sara Haefeli (musicology) is speaking at the Chemung Valley History Museum at 7:00 pm.  Her lecture, "Love, Longing, and Desire: Schumann the Romantic" is free and open to the public.  The festival ends on Sunday with a 2 pm Master Class in piano with performances by students Ben Pawlak and Weiyan Li.
