Sustainability Film Series: “The Botany of Desire” - TONIGHT at 7pmContributed by Marian Brown on 03/06/14 The Sustainability Film Series presents “The Botany of Desire” TONIGHT (Thursday, March 6) at 7:00pm in the Klingenstein Lounge in the Campus Center. Free snacks and fun interactive activities will also be offered. This event is free and open to the public. Flowers. Trees. Plants. We've always thought that we controlled them. But what if, in fact, they have been shaping us? Using this provocative question as a jumping off point, The Botany of Desire, a two-hour PBS documentary based on the best-selling book by Michael Pollan, takes us on an eye-opening exploration of our relationship with the plant world – seen from the plants' point of view. This event is co-sponsored by Sustainability at IC and the IC Nutrition Club. This activity is eligible for Student Leadership Institute (SLI) credit. Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Marian Brown at mbrown@ithaca.edu or (607) 274-3787. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible. |
