Workshops for Faculty & Staff: Developing and Implementing Short-term Study Abroad ProgramsContributed by Rachel Gould on 02/25/14 The Office of International Programs (OIP) would like to invite all administrators, faculty and staff members to attend one of several workshops designed to assist in the development of short-term study abroad programs. Short-term study abroad programming is an important component of the international study options available to Ithaca College students. The first workshop, to be held Thursday, February 27, will familiarize faculty with the program planning and development process, proposal submission logistics, safety & security measures, risk management, best practice, as well as other relevant topics, and will leave plenty of time for discussion and questions. The second and third workshops will cover the same information as the February 27 workshop, but will split the information up into shorter sessions. The first of the two-part series will be held on Tuesday, March 25, and will focus on elements of program planning related to risk management and student safety. The second of the two-part series will be held on Tuesday, April 1, and will focus on logistics of program development and proposal submission.
